Program:
The Bounce Out the Stigma™summer program will have a limit of 35 boys and girls ages 9-18.
Because of our small numbers and maximum resources, we want each camper to receive a lot of individual attention and
have a great week.
At the beginning of the week, the children will be put into different groups and teams. Campers will learn some
of their activities in a team atmosphere while they have fun meeting new friends. They
will go through a series of basketball and motor skills drills in the morning. During the week, campers will
experience a different guest lecturer each day that will talk about the themes of the day and answer questions. Parents
will have special sessions during the week to cover specific topics as well. Every day we will play games and
different sports, with basketball being the primary exercise. Their will be breaks in the day for snacks, lunch and
medications.
PLEASE NOTE: All parents of each camper will be screened
by a trained representative from the Epilepsy Foundation of NJ/Family Resource Network before
camp begins. This is to make sure they can undergo the week ahead of them. Camp will be filled with both challenges
and fun, but we want to make sure that each child is both physically and emotionally ready to be prepared for the tasks
involved.
