In developing such a unique camp one of the first things you need is the type of personalities that will help
guide the children along the way. Here at Bounce Out the Stigma™ we believe in youth experiencing
the team elements of sports over the competititve aspects. Most importantly, we want all of our
campers to learn the self-confidence and empowerment that are attached to developing new skill sets and
overcoming creative obstacles. That ideal comes from the top of the camp spread all the way throughout its workers.
Bounce Out the Stigma™ Summer Camps features staff that are involved in making camp a better place for the children involved.
The founder of the program, Mike Simmel, is also the director of the camps. Our co-director is Rob Neilley, a teacher at
the South Bergen Jointure Comission in Lodi, NJ and experienced high school coach. Rob's patience, professionalism
and all around great spirit makes him a hit with both parents and campers alike. We are pleased to have him on our staff
full time this summer.
Experience is important especially in working with the lives of young people. In addition to our founder and co-director, we have multiple teachers and college
and high school athletes on staff to work with the campers. There will be over a half dozen
staff members on hand for campers (making the student/staff ratio 4:1 with a potential for
more!). Dottie Mullin, our full-time nurse, will also be on site to work with children who
need medical attention and medication distribution. If you are interested in joining the Bounce Out the Stigma™Summer
Camp staff, for a fulfilling lifetime experience please contact Mighty Mike Basketball.
